ARREST

Inspired by a black and white photo published in the New York Times in the summer of 2020.  One man being arrested and patted down by multiple police officers.  I published this on my community FB page, along with Love and Hope and Crossroads of Hope.  This painting received so many angry responses from my community.  But, as with most of my art, it is inspired and reflects real life. I presented in an art show November 1, 2 days before voting day.  I am hopeful that it helped the viewers keep in mind the change that is needed in the criminal justice system with regards to racism.
