Golden Hour at the South Rim

I am so blessed to live in this beautiful state of Arizona for most of the year.  And the Grand Canyon is right in my backyard!!!!  However, I haven't been in about 10 years so I get inspired by photos I see, ask permission to use and then the paintbrush does it's thing.  I wanted to focus on the old-growth tree in the left foreground; the way the bark twists and weathers is so interesting.  It is almost as if instead of counting the rings, we should count the strands of bark that are exposed over time.
